Good Morning! Sorry I didn’t post last night I had a terrible sinus head ache and went right to sleep as soon as I got home from work! I have to run out so this post is going to be a quick one.
For breakfast yesterday I had another Peach Chobani but remembered some Kashi Island Vanilla cereal to mix in.
I love the vanilla cereal in the peach yogurt, so good!
Between breakfast and lunch I snacked on some Cherry Semolina Dr. Krackers. 10 of them to be exact.
Lunch was Harborside leftovers.
And I even snuck a roll out from the restaurant in my to go bag.
So like I said I came home yesterday with a horrible sinus headache, it’s been so long since I’ve had one it hit me out of nowhere! I came home got right into bed, and slept until 8, when I woke up my headache was still there so I jumped in a hot shower hoping the steam would help. No such luck. Finally I took some nighttime cold and cough medicine and that knocked the headache out and I was finally feeling well enough to eat at around 10. I just had a sandwich thin with pb.
Well I have to run now, I’ll be back tonight!

What a day! I woke up thinking it was Thursday and thought that until I was on my way to work. Since we don’t work Fridays anymore Thursday is our dress down day so I went to work wearing jeans and everything. It was obvious to everyone at work I had mixed up what day I thought it was. Ugh. But oh well I was comfortable all day at least.
I started out the day with something I haven’t had in so long, unfortunately in my hurry this morning I forgot my camera but I do have some pretty bad blackberry photos to share.
Peach Chobani! In addition to forgetting my camera I also forgot some cereal for mixing into the yogurt. But it was still amazingly delicious, it’s been to long Peach Chobani!
Without the cereal though this didn’t do a great job of holding me over for lunch. I wound up getting hungry around 10 and snacked on some Dr. Kracker’s Cherry Semolina crisps. These are absolutely delicious!
The serving size is 8 but I probably had about 12, they are so delicious.
Lunch today was an old favorite, rice pilaf, green beans, and broccoli all mixed together.
What a horrible picture of one of my favorite flavor combos. I can’t get enough of it I crave this at least once a week.
After work Andrew and I decided to go out to eat. It’s been a while since we went out just the 2 of us for dinner so we went to our favorite local restaurant, Harborside Bar and Grill. It was a beautiful day so we got to enjoy being outside on the patio. To start I had a house salad with balsamic dressing on the side.
I used about a 1/4 of the dressing with my fork dips before almost every bite. It’s amazing but before I would have easily used 1/2 of it or more, dipping the fork in is just as flavorful and definitely a calorie saver.
Then our waitress brought out some fabulous rolls. I of course had one.
Warm and doughy, it was perfect.
For dinner I had the Rigatoni Pomadora, a fresh tomato basil sauce, with rigatoni and fresh mozzarella balls throughout.
This sauce is the freshest tasting sauce ever, I don’t think I could make it even 1/2 as good as they do. I would love to be able to buy a jar of this sauce. I have about 1/2 of this left for tomorrows lunch.
After dinner we stopped by to visit my sister and parents since she’s been bugging me for the past 3 days to come over. It was a nice night hanging out on their patio enjoying the weather. After it rained for almost all of May and June, it’s definitely made me appreciate the past 2 weeks, we’ve had the most beautiful sunny, warm days lately, and I’m definitely grateful for them!

Happy Hump Day! What a crazy week it has been, luckily I have some training tomorrow that will take me away from my desk all day. Usually I stress about how my email will pile up but I’m just so excited to have an excuse to get out of my cubicle for a whole day! Plus tomorrow is my Friday so it couldn’t have happened on a better day! Plus when this is the weather forecast:
How can you not be excited for the weekend?
So I forgot my camera today, it’s been a while since I’ve done that huh? I used my cell phone so I apologize for the less then stellar pictures.
Chobani came back in to my life! I had a peach chobani with peak protein granola.
Amazing, couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast on a rainy day.
Lunch was the rest of my salad from yesterday. I finally polished the whole thing off.
As you can see I had a ton left from yesterday those salads are pricey at 7 bucks but to get 2 meals out of it it’s not that bad.
For dinner tonight we decided to have “ice and lettuce cups with nothing in them. “ I’m kidding of course but we just watched The Biggest Loser from last night and that was something Bob said which for some reason made Andrew and I laugh hysterically. Can you believe the meals those people were eating all while working out all day? I think I’d pass out.
Dinner tonight was a freezer find. Sometime in the fall we had made sausage, peppers, and onions, in tomato sauce. Well that was pulled out of the freezer tonight, and eaten over whole wheat rotini I don’t know what made me remember it was in there but for some reason I thought of it this morning and the idea never left my head.
I had one serving of pasta and lots of peppers and onions, and 5 slices of sausage. Just the right amount. Now I’m not going to lie if there was more sauce or pasta I totally would have went back for seconds. Not because I was hungry but because this was so good.
Well I’m going to lay down now and watch the Mets game, they must have done something right because I can hear Andrew clapping.

I am 10,000X happier then I’ve been in so long! I can’t tell you just how much I love the warm weather better!
I’m excited to get back out there and enjoy the day so quick 2 day recap!
Yesterday for breakfast I made the most beautiful smoothie, it was so purple!
This smoothie contained:
- 1 scoop protein powder
- blueberries
- peaches
- a banana
- skim milk
I took 2 or 3 sips then put it in a to-go cup for work. I got ready for work and left. And forgot the damn smoothie! So remember what this smoothie looks like.
So when I got to work I snacked on 3 prunes, while pouting about my forgotten smoothie.
Lunch time couldn’t come fast enough, I was holding off until a reasonable hour for lunch and when I decided to dig in, it was gone in 2 minutes flat.
Inside this WW wrap is pb and raspberry preserves. Yum yum yum.
Around 3 my stomach started growling so I had 4 sweet peppers:
And a string cheese:
Yum yum yum.
Andrew had the week off for spring break from school and he made me the best dinner again! What a sweet guy. Crockpot Chicken Parm! So excited to eat that again! But first I forced us to go for a walk along the trail, I burned about 250 calories because I was in a hurry to get back and eat some chicken parm.
He used chicken tenders so I had 3 and a serving of ww penne.
I might have licked the plate.
After dinner we went to pick up my little sister for our sleep over. She came over and we passed out around midnight.
I woke up at 6 this morning and went for a little walk/jog around the neighborhood by myself. I burned 217 calories.
Then came home and drank my smoothie (that Andrew so kindly put in the fridge for me yesterday after I forgot it.) It wasn’t nearly as pretty today but still tasted awesome.
After the 2 lazy bones in the house woke up we hung around the house and watched tv. My mom called and asked us if we’d like to go out to breakfast, I actually was hungry again so we went to our favorite breakfast plate in the junction. I’m predictable and had a scramble with potato, pepper, onion and egg, with dry ww toast on the side.
I also stole some of my sister’s home fries because she doesn’t like them. If it looks like a huge portion it is definitely decent but I love that they use smaller plates there then a standard restaurant, I hate when they have those huuuuge plates and fill them up with food. These are just the right size.
After breakfast Andrew and I went for a walk on the trail together. We walked for over an hour and I burned 466 calories. Which puts me at 683 for the day, not bad for just walking and jogging.
When we got to almost the end of the trail I saw a bunch of people up ahead with orange jumpsuits on. CHAIN GANG! The back of their jumpsuits said NJDOC (NJ department of corrections) there was a cop with them but there were at least 20 of them. Nothing too weird right? There was a cop so we should have felt safe. But about 1/2 of the prisoners had freaking CHAINSAWS! For real? One Cop with a gun and 10 prisoners waving Chain Saws around? I whispered to Andrew “turn around real slowly, and let’s get the hell out of here”. Only a little while later when we passed 2 more cops walking along the front of the trail, did we realize Andrew had an orange sweat shirt on I was convinced Andrew was going to get shot at because the cops would think he was a member of the Chain Gang. I walked a good 10 paces behind him just in case. I also thought the cops at the front of the trail were there because a prisoner had escaped and we were going to be part of a hostage situation. I have a very active imagination obviously. I also told Andrew that it was the “closest I’ve ever been to being murdered.” He told me that I was no where near being murdered but prisoners with Chain Saws is never a good combination.

I loved Easter as a child, dying the Easter Eggs, watching The 10 Commandments, waking up to find the Easter eggs hidden around the house, and all the goodies in my Easter basket! I still love Easter and although I didn’t dye any Easter eggs tonight I am watching The Ten Commandments with Andrew. I want to get back to the movie so I’m going to get right to the eats.
After my post yesterday we accomplished almost everything on the list done. A few things got pushed aside to another day but we got so much accomplished I don’t mind one bit. For dinner I made pizza, with a boboli whole wheat crust. I used sauce, mozzarella cheese and spinach.
I put the spinach under the cheese and I think it tasted great, there was a ton though that you can’t really see. After dinner we showered and got ready to go out with some friends to a local Irish Bar. I stuck to water all night though.
It was pouring this morning and I wound up sleeping until 8:30, we got up and went to Costco with my dad to pick up a few things. On the way to my parents house I had a chocolate brownie zbar.
After Costco I had to go to the chiropractor. Once we returned to my parents house we hung out with my sister while my parents went shopping. I had a honey ww bagel with some pb.
My mom gave me the last of the baked ziti from the other night so after we came back to the apartment I had that for dinner.
My batteries were going dead so this picture came out blurry sorry.
While watching The Ten Commandents I decided to have dessert. I had vanilla fro yo with chocolate chips and pb! It was so yummy!
I melted 1 tbsp of pb in the microwave then poured in on top of the fro yo and then placed in back in the freezer to become like a shell on it. My friend and I used to do this in high school all the time, it’s a super yummy treat.
Well I’m going to get back to the movie! I’m very excited for tomorrow because not only is it Easter but I get to eat meat again. I’ll talk more about my experience of giving up meat for lent tomorrow, I am definitely glad I did it, but I’m excited to have some turkey bacon for breakfast tomorrow.

Sorry for disappearing for a few days. I’ve been pretty busy at night and have crashed out as soon as my head has hit the pillow. I have a ton of catching up to do and a to-do list a mile long, so let’s get into it.
On Wednesday morning I had brought oatmeal again but completely forgot my training started right at 8 so I wound having a clif bar while sitting in training for breakfast. This photo is from last weekend because I ate this in class I didn’t want to snap a picture.

Training went really well and made the first 4 hours of work fly by. I kind of assumed we were going to get treated to lunch like last time so didn’t bring anything. I wound up going to the Subway nearby. While I was in line waiting to order there 5 very annoying people in front of me singing the 5 dollar foot long song. It was so irratating but they did convince me to get a Veggie Delight Foot long.

He may have put a little too much vinegar on it but I loved it anyway. I ate this half and then on the other half just ate the green peppers and cucumbers, a foot long is a lot of food! On the side I also had a bag of baked lays.

Dinner that night was actually a brinner. I had 3 whole wheat pancakes, one with blueberries, one with chocolate chips, and one plain. I couldn’t decide how I wanted it so I had one of each. Perfect in my opinion.

Blueberry.

Chocolate Chip.

Plain.

All together.
Later that night my sister called asking us to come over so we went over there, by the time we left and got back I was exhausted so I put myself right to bed.
The next morning I had the oatmeal I had brought to work with me on Wednesday.

This was over-two-night oatmeal and it did not disappoint.
This is when I became a bad food blogger I had completely forgotten lunch and wasn’t hungry enough to want anything so I didn’t eat lunch. I believe this is the first time I’ve skipped a meal since starting the blog. It was something I used to do all the time and of course by 5 I was famished.
My Uncle Bobby was stopping by my parents house on his way down to my Aunt’s house in Virginia where he will be celebrating Easter, so Andrew and I headed over there to visit with him for the night. For dinner my mom made a great baked ziti! Yummy, the first time this year I’ve had any, it of course was delicious.

I definitely had a little more.
And I had 2 pieces of sourdough.

Hanging out with my family last night was a ton of fun and we didn’t wind up getting home until almost midnight, so I wrote out my to-do-list read for about 10 minutes and then fell right to sleep.
This is my first Friday off and I’ve decided to most of the time use Friday’s to be my big day to run errands and do things around the house, that way I still have 2 days of the weekend to enjoy. After watching the weather last night I saw that today and tomorrow are going to be rainy so when I woke up and saw sun at 6:30 I jumped out of bed, waking Andrew up, and asked him if he wanted to walk on the trail. He also wanted to before the weather turned crappy so we got up, got dressed, and got out the door. On our way out the door I snacked on a new bar.

I got this from Melissa at the blogger brunch back in March. Thank you Melissa this was delicious. The texture was a lot like a larabar and the flavor of the cranberries were perfectly sweet and tart, it was a really great bar!

Andrew was nice enough to snap some pictures for the blog of the trail for me today. The sun was still coming up as we were walking and we only ran into 3 other people on the trail, going that early in the morning was so nice!

Here’s the ramp at the marina for loading the boats into the water and taking them out.

In the back that big boat is the SeaStreak ferry that takes you right into NYC.

The rest of these shots are from on the trail.

There are some boardwalks to cross.

But most of it is gravel.

Most of it goes right along the beach.

Right across the bay is Brooklyn, I waved to all you Brooklyn Bloggers, did you see me?

I can’t wait till all those trees are green, we’re getting there.

Our walk lasted 1 hour and 21 minutes and I burned 599 calories, can we round up to 600? It sounds so much better.
After our walk we headed right out to grocery shopping the store was empty! Once again I rushed to put everything away and didn’t get a picture. Once everything was in it’s place we ate breakfast, I had a smoothie.

This smoothie contained:
- Spinach
- POM juice
- Skim Milk
- 1 scoop soy protein powder
- frozen sliced peaches
- blueberries
- 1 banana

Yummy!
So it’s time for me to start to-doing. Our list is very very long, want to see?
- Grocery Shopping
- Blog
- Vacuum
- Dust
- Put laundry away
- Wash windows
- dishes
- organize office
- clean bathroom
- wash floors
- scrub counters and cabinets.
- clean closet in bedroom
- gym
- comment and read blogs
- Bake/and mail Banana bread for blogger bake sale.
These are in no particular order, it’s just how I thought of things as I laid in bed last night.
So I’m off to get to work, I’ll be back after lunch!

What a fun weekend I had! If every weekend had weather this nice, and as many good times I would be a very happy and lucky lady. I got to spend a lot of time with my grandparents which is why I didn’t blog yesterday also got to spend a few more hours with them this morning before they left to go back to the Poconos. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well!
After such a fun weekend I’m exhausted so I’m going to try to make this a quick post.
Yesterday I was running late because we had a small problem with the faucet in the bathroom not turning off that I was trying to take care of. I grabbed a clif bar as I was running out of the house for my Doctors appointment.
Delicious as usual.
After the doctor’s and visiting the assisted living with my grandparents I got a smoothie.
I got one with Mango, pineapple, non-fat yogurt, and protein powder. Luckily there was no allergic reaction to it yesterday and it was delicious.
For dinner we ate at my parents we ordered chinese food and I decided to get vegeterian chow mein. It was disgusting.
I wound up eating some broccoli with garlic sauce mostly, but didn’t eat much of that either. Disappointing.
Later after leaving my parents house we came home to the apartment and met our friend Mike here to hang out. We spent the night looking up houses in Florida, watching YouTube videos, and talking. Have I mentioned I want to move somewhere warmer? I know the weather is getting nice but I just realize how much the winters affect my mood and I need to get to somewhere warm.
My wine was in a very special Secret Service glass from my Aunt Suzy for Christmas last year. It was a raspberry wine and it was so good. I definitely drank more then this amount, a lot more. After the week I had, I decided to relax a little and enjoy the wine though.
Mike was hungry so I offered some Popchips to him as long as he would allow me to put his pictures trying them on the blog.
Here’s Mike admiring the bag:
Now here’s Mike tasting it:
But did he like it?
Thumbs up! He tried the orginal and I had a few as well, we wound up dipping them in salsa which was really good.
See Andrew in the background carrying a bowl? He so lovingly shared his leftovers from Friday night’s dinner with me. I gladly ate up some of his Rigatoni Pomadora, I was starving since dinner was a such a mess earlier on. I didn’t take a picture of the rigatoni I completely forgot (too much wine). I really didn’t have that much, but for the 13 dollar dinner to get 3 meals out of it was really good.
This morning I got up and got dressed to make it back to my parents to say goodbye to my grandparents they wound up sticking around for a few hours so I actually got to spend a good amount of time with them. I had a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with a little butter.
Sorry for the crappy cellphone picture.
After my grandparents left Andrew and I went to the gym, it was such a nice day we decided to just do some weights there and take advantage of the nice weather and do our cardio outside. While doing the weights I burned 225 calories in the half hour we were there. Then we headed back towards the apartment, my dad had told us they built a new trail in our town that went right along the water. We decided to give that a try. I wish I had my camera with me because it was a beautiful walk. We walked and jogged for an hour, and wound up burning 434 calories, so 659 total with our 2 workouts.
After our walk we hung out in the marina and walked around a little more then decided to go out for lunch at a little restaurant in the marina. I got a potato pepper onion and egg sandwich on whole wheat toast. I wound up deconstructing the sandwich and eating it just like normal scrambled eggs and eating the toast on the side.
On the side you can also see the pickle Andrew so kindly gave to me from his burger. 1 more week until I can eat meat again and until today I haven’t really craved much red meat, chicken yes, red meat not usually. His burger just looked so damn good I wanted it so badly! I’ll definitely be having a burger sometime soon after next Sunday when Lent is over!
For dinner we decided to try spaghetti squash for the first time, with meatless meatballs on the side. I’m so glad we tried the spaghetti squash it was delicious and we have so much left over.
I’ll definitely make this again!
Well before I head off to dreamland don’t forget tomorrow Meghann is having her 2nd Blogger bake sale! I’ll be donating a loaf of this PB Banana bread with chocolate chips, I have modified the original recipe a little and am so excited to be able to donate this for her bake sale! If you don’t know, Meghann is training to run the Rock n Roll San Diego Marathon in an effort to raise $3900 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. What an inspiration this girl is! Tomorrow at 11am the bake sale begins, for all the rules and logistics visit her site here.
Good night everyone and have a great Monday!

First of all I can’t believe that you all took the time to write such heartfelt comments yesterday! I knew that venting on here would make me feel better and your comments were amazing. I was literally tearing up just reading your super sweet words. I knew I could count on you guys to make everything seem better.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to post again last night I just needed to sit and think for a while. Everything is definitely looking up I realized I do have enough vacation days to cover 12 of the days off. Every time I get paid I automatically have money removed from my checking account into my savings if I put that on hold for the next few months, I will only be down $79 from what I usually get. Obviously I’d rather save but if I just save what I can instead of a set amount I’ll be a lot better off then I thought. I also have started looking into freelance work and other small jobs to keep my cash flow up. The only thing now is I don’t feel comfortable signing another 1 year lease in case in 6 months things aren’t looking up, when I paid rent today I sent a little note asking my landlords to call me. Since I’ve lived here for the past 2 years I have never had any kind of trouble with the landlords and have always paid on time. So I was going to explain my situation and hope that they will let me do the lease on a month to month basis until I get back to full time. I really see them saying yes, they know Andrew and I and really seem to like us, and I’m sure they’d rather have our money coming in instead of having the place empty. They live right below us so we have really gotten to know them, and it’s not some big apartment complex but their home so I think we might have a really good chance.
Now since this is a food blog let’s talk about my eats.
Before going to my mom’s yesterday I had a string cheese.
While I was there after talking to my mom about everything I fell asleep on the couch for a few hours! Nothing like a nap to put you in a better mood. I left their house and came home for dinner. First off look at this amazing plate!
How cute right? My friend, Michelle, gave it to me for my birthday, she got it while on vacation is Savannah. It was actually designed by a student at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) such a fun gift!
So I of course had to have a pb and j sandwich on it for it’s first use.
One the side I also had some grapes.
It definitely was:
Once Andrew returned from work I talked to him and ate 2 tagalongs. PB overload!

This morning upon waking up I knew today was going to another tough day. I decided to keep my eats really simple since I didn’t spend anytime preparing them last night. Let’s just say there was plenty more pb.
For breakfast I had a peach Chobani and granola.
I ate this so incredibly fast because my boss asked me to run home to grab some papers from when I worked at home 3 weeks ago. That took a nice hour and a 1/2 out of the work day for me.
For lunch I had pb and banana on an arnold’s sandwich thin.
Yummy as usual.
After work today I had to drop Andrew off at the pharmacy to work his second shift and I had to go get another MRI of my back to make sure it’s healing nicely from my accident last summer. Before I left work I knew I had to eat something because I didn’t think I’d be able to eat for a while (I was right.) So I had a Chocolate Brownie Clif Bar.
Brownies are like the only sweet that I can NEVER turn down. Growing up when it was your birthday you would bring cupcakes or munchkins to share with your class to celebrate. I never liked either one of those things so I would make my mom bake brownies the night before for me to bring in. All the teachers loved my birthday because it was something different. I remember proudly walking around passing out the brownies and listening to everyone get excited because it wasn’t the same old thing. Another year for my first non-family birthday party my mom asked me what I wanted to have at my party, knowing I wouldn’t cake, I asked her to make Jell-o. What little kid does that? She wound up making jell-o jigglers that spelled out Happy birthday Danielle! What a weird thing to have instead of cake!
This clif bar did not taste like a brownie but it was good none-the-less.
I was so glad I ate because by the time I got out of the MRI and got home it was 7:30. My parents had just finished eating dinner so even though I wasn’t that hungry I decided to have some of their left over egg noodles with a little butter, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese.
I wish I had only eaten 1/2 a clif bar so I could have had a better dinner. But this tasted good no matter how many veggies are missing.
I also have been meaning to post this for a few days now. The lovely Kate of Cooking with Kate has passed on an award to me.
First of all, have you all seen her blog? She’s adorable, she’s a fantastic writer and she’s also a Jersey girl! (Although she does live in LA now, believe me you can take the girl out of Jersey but you can’t take the Jersey out of the girl) she went to the same beach club as Bon Jovi and Bruce! (Remind me one day to tell you my Bon Jovi story it might be my most embarrassing moment!) So definitely check out her blog!
When receiving this award you are supposed to list 7 things you love so here goes:
- My sister, she is the most important person in my life, she has really made me into the person I am today and I would do anything for her.
- My parents, everyone says they’re parents are the greatest, well mine really are, my mom has become one of my best friends who I can tell anything to and she always helps me out, and I will always be a Daddy’s Girl.
- Andrew, we went out in high school our junior year and broke up a few months later, we met up again when I was in my sophomore year of college and started going out again. I like to say we were high school sweet hearts even though there was a 2 year break in there. He is definitely my soulmate, and I’m so lucky to have him in my life.
- My friends. I don’t know what I’d do without them, I’ve known my 4 closest girlfriends since elementary school! We are a tight knit group, and I am very grateful to have them. Once summer comes you’ll be seeing a ton more pictures of them because we’re always on our deck in the summer relaxing and talking.
- The beach, I’ve grown up less then 15 minutes from the beach, and there’s nothing like the feeling of the sand between your toes.
- You guys. I can’t tell you enough how much your comments have impacted me, especially in the last few days! You girls give me inspiration on a daily basis, you are some of the strongest women I (kinda) know.
- My extended family, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, I have a pretty great family on both my mom’s side and my dad’s side, and there’s always a ton of laughs when we all get together.
I’m supposed to pass this on to 7 bloggers now but I’m having a hard time coming up with 7 and I’m sure most of you have already gotten it, so I’m passing this on to everyone on my blogroll! If you’re there consider yourself a Kreativ Blogger award winner!
Well I’m off to bed now, hope you all have a great night! Tomorrow is Thursday already! It’s my last full week of work until October so it’s flying by with meetings and redistribution of work so the rest of the week should fly!
April 1, 2009 at 9:27 pm
Thanks again for all your super sweet comments. I’ll be able to share everything tomorrow, but it’s going to be a pretty rough night for me tonight so I’m going to post quickly. Kate from Cooking With Kate left me a comment yesterday that said,
“…just know that “this too shall pass.”
What a perfect thing to remember when things get a little rough. Really my situation could be a lot worse and I also need to remember to count my blessings.
So let’s jump into today’s eats so I can go unwind and get some sleep!
I slept horribly last night, it took me forever to fall asleep, and when I did it was restless so I was exhausted this morning, I grabbed a Chobani Peach Yogurt on my way out the door.
Lunch today was not planned ahead so I ran out to the outlet center across the street and grabbed a salad.
This salad had:
- Romaine Lettuce
- Cucs
- Jalapenos
- red onions
- cheddar cheese
- and light balsamic vinaigrette
On the side I also had a 9 grain whole wheat roll.
I came home and decided instead of being here all by myself in the apartment I would go to my parents house for dinner. It helped me keep calm to be around my family for sure. We had pasta with spicy spaghetti sauce, on top of mine I added 1.5 tbsps of ricotta cheese.

It was a delicious meal and who doesn’t love a simple home cooked dinner with family?
Well I’m off to go to bed, I’ll be filling all you guys in on the source of my stress tomorrow. Enjoy you’re night!
March 30, 2009 at 9:15 pm
I have another day of boring eats for you guys, but I was able to get to the store tonight to restock so tomorrow will be back to normal.
Unfortunately I needed to have another Clif bar for breakfast, thank god I got to the store today these keep me satisfied until lunch but they are so boring to eat.
I’m pretty sure this is my first time having the Blueberry crisp and I thought it was really good.
For lunch I had my leftovers from dinner last night.
Not pretty in the least but soooo good, I removed all the cheese off because there were no plates available at work and with the container I couldn’t put it in the microwave and the cheese just looked gross cold, the rest was fine though.
Around 3 I snacked on an orange.
See my sweet safety glasses in the background? Yeah I have to wear those whenever I go out to the factory at my work. I hate those things.
After work I hit up Whole Foods, I didn’t take a picture of all my purchases I completely forgot. I pulled a Meghann and as soon as I got home I put everything away, got changed and put on the Burn Fat and Boost Metabolism Jillian Michael’s DVD, so I wouldn’t have time to make up excuses. Since I just got my HRM I was dying to try it. I only made it 35 minutes in and kinda skipped the cool down, before I quit, I was too hungry to keep going by this time it was 7:30 and needed something to eat. But in those 35 minutes I wound up burning 350 calories I did modify some things and added weights just to make it a little more difficult. I really enjoyed the DVD though and it’s something I will definitely do on days I don’t usually go to the gym.
For dinner I wanted something fast and did not feel like cooking anything. I decided to have a massive smoothie.
This smoothie contained:
- 1/2 a cup of oats
- 1/2 a cup skim milk
- 1 scoop soy protein powder
- A gigantic handful of spinach
- 4 ounces POM juice
- pineapple
- and blueberries
This was super filling. This was my first time adding spinach to a smoothie, and although everyone swears you can’t taste it, I never believed them. Well it’s true! I put a crazy amount of spinach in there and did not taste it at all. I’ve never had a smoothie for dinner before but I assume it’s okay to substitute that meal with a smoothie, since there was so much going on in there I feel just as satisfied with that as I would a huge meal.
Well I’m off to pack/prepare my lunch for tomorrow, enjoy the rest of your Monday night!
